POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Nursing Officer and the general direction of the Medical Director of Imaging, the Diagnostic Imaging Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Imaging Departments inclusive of administrative and technical operation. Utilizing effective planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling mechanisms, ensures that efficient and effective patient care services are provided while enhancing attainment of individual personnel and Hospital objectives. Works with and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure that inpatient and outpatient services are integrated appropriately.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  2. Current registration with A.R.R.T (American Registry of Radiology Technologist).
  3. Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Service as a Medical Radiologic Technologist. (MRT)
  4. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital radiology department.
  5. Advanced education in management/supervision preferred.
