POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director of Cardiology Services the EKG Tech produces recordings of electromotive variations in patient’s heart muscle, using electrocardiograph (EKG), to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments by performing the following duties. The EKG Technician provides general cardiac services to patients as assigned in accordance with established departmental and hospital standards of care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate: Associates degree is preferred, but not required.
  2. Previous EKG experience preferred.
  3. Current BLS and completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Management course.
  4. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use EKG machines
