POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the inpatient geriatric psychiatric unit, coordination of services, supervision and management of therapy staff and the implementation of quality care and services. The inpatient BH manager is also responsible for marketing the program’s services to potential referral sources and conducting off-site pre-admission assessments.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license. BSN minimum, Masters preferred.
  2. Three years experience in mental health care, with a minimum of two years management experience preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Knowledge of area community mental health resources
  6. Experience in referral development and community education.
  7. Documentation of competency in providing BLS and CPI, per unit specific competency.
