Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) nurse assumes responsibility for the insertion of PICC lines within the facility. The PICC nurse advises and assists nursing personnel with the monitoring of PICC vascular access for compliance, complications, and removal to provide quality patient care. The PICC nurse ensures that the insertion of PICC is performed in accordance with the standards and mission of the facility.


  1. Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
  2. BSN required.
  3. Critical experience preferred
  4. BLS required.
  5. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  6. NIHS Scale and annual stroke education required
  7. PICC education and experience
