Under the general supervision of the Director of Patient Access, the Scheduling Coordinator communicates with physician’s offices and patients to schedule outpatient diagnostic tests. Works with each department to schedule efficiently. Acts as on-going liaison with physician offices to maintain an efficient program. Maintains master schedule on daily basis and manages scheduling with efficiency and productively. Assists with pre-registration of scheduled outpatients including insurance verification and pre- certification as required. Performs medical necessity audits; implement approval process; facilitates physician orders. Coordinates direct admits with House Supervisor and Registration.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Sufficient previous admitting department experience (minimum 4 years)
